This image shows the rear view of a small group of reenactors playing the part of the famous 101st Airborne. While their uniform was very similar to that of the rest of the US Army it does have some small details that separate it out: Paratroopers for instance (other than the US Army Rangers) were the only forces allowed to tuck their trousers into their boots, and therefore were issues taller leather combat boots than the rest of the infantry. \n\nThis image was taken at an outdoor event over the weekend of 11th-13th August 2023, where reenactors, living historians, and members of the public can come to experience what life was like during the second world war, with live demonstrations, battle reenactments, and static displays from all over the world.
