The Mil Mi-24 (Hind) is a large helicopter gunship, attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for eight passengers. It is produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and has been operated since 1972 by the Soviet Air Force and its successors, along with 48 other nations.

I visited Death Valley in Slovakia. Those who were there may have felt its atmosphere. For me, it was a mix of feelings from pity and fear, through pride, to humility. It fell there in 1944\n 11,000 men and women on both sides, LONELY away from home and their families.\nI chose the Russian aircraft Lisunov Li-2T (D-30) for my night photo. It stands ALONE in the forest, in Vysny Komarnik, and it accurately describes my feelings about these places.\nThis plane served in the 1st aviation regiment, and later after its last flight in 1967, it was set up as a confectionery.
