3rd February, 2020 - Agra, India: The Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, stands as an enduring symbol of India's rich history and Mughal architectural prowess. Both tourists and local visitors are seen exploring the massive fort complex. Built primarily of red sandstone, the fort once served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors. Notably, from various points within the fort, one can catch distant views of another iconic landmark, the Taj Mahal. The people in the photographs are engaged in various activities, from taking selfies to enjoying the panoramic views, making this a bustling hub of cultural interaction and historical exploration.
The Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a hill 125 meters above the city of Jodhpur in the state of Rajasthan, is one of the most majestic forts in India. Etymologically, it comes from the Sanskrit Mihir, 'sun' or 'solar deity' and garh 'strong', that is, 'strong of the Sun'.

This image features the Qutub Minar, one of Delhi's most iconic landmarks, shrouded in the soft haze of an early morning. Standing at a height of 73 metres, the Qutub Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world and is known for its intricate carvings and inscriptions. The haze adds an ethereal quality to the photograph, slightly obscuring the minaret's details but enhancing its mystique. This atmospheric condition offers a different perspective on a well-known monument, adding a layer of complexity and mood. The image aims to capture both the historical significance and the natural surroundings of the Qutub Minar, presenting it as a must-see attraction with ever-changing moods and appearances.

Agra, India - aug 10, 1996: view from the elegant Diwan-e-Khas pavilion, used for the audiences of the Maharaja, inside the walls of the Red Fort of Agra in India. Vintage photo. Historical archive photo.
The photo showcases the outer walls surrounding Moti Masjid, or Pearl Mosque, located in the historic Red Fort complex in Delhi. Above the walls, we can see the mosque's stunning white marble domes, which stand out against the clear blue sky. The domes' elegant shape and reflective surface add to the mosque's grandeur and complement the intricacy of the surrounding walls. Interestingly, the mosque's layout did not conform to the symmetry of the Red Fort complex. It was later discovered that the outer walls of the mosque were purposefully constructed to maintain the complex's symmetry while the interior of the mosque followed the correct orientation to the east.
