Physostegia virginiana, commonly called obedient plant or false dragonhead, is a rhizomatous perennial that is native to North America. Tubular, two-lipped, snapdragon-like, pink to pale lilac flowers in upright terminal spikes bloom throughout summer (late June-September) atop square stems. Flowers bloom bottom to top on each spike.

(Penstemon davidsonii) The Davidson's Penstemon is a bright showy wildflower which can be found between 4000- 7000 feet in the Cascade Range. This densely matted plant with rhizomes grows on rock ledges and talus slopes. The tubular flowers can be purple, lavender, or pink in color. The entrance to the inside of the flower is very hairy.

$Linaria can be either hardy annuals or perennials and vary in height from 15 cm to 1.2 m. They have lance shaped leaves and carry flowers that are similar to those of snapdragon. They bloom from the end of spring through to the middle of summer and have flowers of many colors including orange, purple, blue and yellow.\nSome of the common names for Linaria include Toadflax, Baby Snapdragon, Spurred snapdragon and Butter and Eggs.$
