A New Zealand endemic bird, the Rock Wren, perched on a branch. The bird is small with olive-green plumage on its back and wings, and a pale greyish-white throat and belly. It also has a noticeable yellow patch on its sides. Its beak is short and pointed, ideal for its insectivorous diet. The bird's legs and feet are strong, adapted for hopping among rocks and alpine terrain. The background is softly blurred, with hues of green and grey, which enhances the focus on the Rock Wren, highlighting its delicate features and vibrant colours. The surrounding foliage adds a natural, serene ambience to the scene.

The gold-colored runoff at the Upper Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park is typically caused by thermophiles, heat-loving microorganisms that thrive in the hot, mineral-rich waters of the geothermal features. These microorganisms, particularly certain types of bacteria and archaea, produce pigments that give the runoff its striking colors. The gold or yellow color is often attributed to thermophilic bacteria like Thermocrinis or other species that can process sulfur or iron, creating vibrant hues in the runoff channels. These colorful runoffs are a hallmark of the park's geothermal activity.
