Family of mute swans, Cygus olor in the wild. The mute swan is declared the national bird of Denmark and lives normal in parks close to people, but they can be found in nature too. The picture is taken in an area outside Copenhagen, Kalvebod Fælled or Kalvebod Commons which are a large area reclaimed from the sea and used as a recreative area today

Here is an image of the last known Trumpeter Swan in Yellowstone National Park. The story goes that this lonely female comes back year after year waiting for her life long mate who unfortunately a few years before was struck by a vehicle in the park. There are only 11 remaining swans known in the park. This was a rare site and one I won't soon forget!
