This photograph showcases a serene lake with turbid waters, dotted with the iconic Victoria water lilies. Their expansive, floating leaves form natural platforms on the water's surface, surrounded by other exotic South American plants. The vibrant green of the lilies contrasts with the murky water, creating a tranquil yet wild atmosphere. The surrounding vegetation, rich and varied, enhances the tropical feel, making the scene feel both untouched and lush, a true reflection of nature’s diversity.

This lotus leaf is a plant from the Amazon region of South America. It is known that the tree was planted at the temple in the 1990s and is one of the rarest lotus varieties in the Southeast. On average, each leaf has a diameter of up to 4-5m. The 5cm curved leaf edges stand up like a giant tray. Southerners therefore call it a gun. On the contrary, Northerners quickly think of quai Thao hats. According to science, this plant has the scientific name Victoria amazonica and belongs to the water lily family. Usually lotus leaves can withstand a weight of 50-80kg. With a weight over 100-150kg, you need to choose the largest leaf size to load. King lotus leaves are light green and have a smooth top surface. The underside is initially bright red but gradually darkens with large, sharp veins. Leaf size may shrink depending on the season. In particular, the lotus leaves in the dry season are only 1 meter in diameter. During the rainy season, absorbing water vapor helps the leaves expand, sometimes up to 5m. This lotus variety is also larger than many other types. The flowers are white in the morning and turn pale pink in the afternoon. They bloom quickly with bright colors. It only takes about 3-5 days for the flowers to bloom.
