Designed by Santiago Calatrava, the museum features rib-like white frames and expansive glazing set beside shallow turquoise pools. Part of the Hemisferic dome appears at right, while a shaded beam in the foreground frames the composition and adds contrast to the bright sky. Located in the redeveloped Turia riverbed, the cultural complex is a major landmark combining science outreach, education and contemporary architecture. Visitors walk along the water edge and beneath the structure's striking geometry.
