Nakorn Pathom, Thailand - May 23, 2013: At first sight, the visitors of the Sanam Chandra Palace, one kilometre away from the Majestic Pagoda Phra Pathom Chedi, Nakorn Pathom, Thailand, may think that the Chaleemongkolsana Residence is the aforementioned palace. However, the residence is just one of the 9 simple-but-gorgeous buildings. The palace was built for H.M. King Rama VI as a retreat and as a residence during his pilgrimage trip to the pagoda. The tiny castle-like residence is a combination of French Renaissance and English half-timber art adapted to suit the Thai hot climate.
