The (unrecognisable) silhouette of a Greek fisherman in his small boat in the Aegean Sea close to the Greek Island of Chios at sunrise in late summer or early autumn. In the background is the Turkish coastline with wind turbines. This area (south-east of the coastal town of Cesme) is where the refugees start their dangerous trip across the Aegean sea headed for Chios in overcrowded dinghy boats. The image was captured with a full frame DSLR camera with a fast sharp lens at low ISO resulting in a large, clean file.
