$The cathedral of Santa Maria de Girona is located at the highest point of the city; it has the widest Gothic nave in the world, with a total width of 22.98 metres. Its construction began in the 11th century in Romanesque style, followed by Gothic in the 13th century, preserving only the Romanesque cloister from the 12th century and the tower from the same period dating from 1040; it was completed in the 18th century. It is an Asset of Cultural Interest.\n\ntower of the Church of San Félix (Girona),\nThe church of Sant Felix or Sant Feliu2 is a basilica3 located in the city of Girona, dating back to early Christian times. It houses the offices of the Major Parish of Sant Feliu of the Bishopric of Girona, so called because it was the main church of Girona before the construction of the cathedral.4 Its construction, in honour of the martyr Saint Felix, lasted from the 12th to the 17th century and conserves a large part of the Romanesque building, later completed with the Gothic naves and roofs and the Baroque façade. The baldachin and the silver altarpiece can be seen, as well as the Romanesque altar.In 1606 the first stone of this façade was laid, but work was delayed and did not continue until 1680, stopping again and progressing slowly over the following years. It was not until 1960 that the work was completed and in the following two years, the local sculptors Josep M. Bohigas, Antoni Casamor, Jaume Busquets and Domènec Fita made the monumental sculptures that were installed in the empty niches.The façade is in the Baroque-Classicist style, divided into three sections in the manner of an altarpiece. The last section has a large oculus crowned by a pediment, and above it there are seven openings with segmental or segmental arches. The niches or niches in the three sections are separated by paired columns and are occupied by the sculptures that have been reported, which were made in the 20th century.
