$Colorful flowering (or blooming) rhododendron after rainfall in late spring or early summer. The rhododendron hybride is called “Hachmann's Feuerschein”. \nHachmann's Feuerschein blooms with large, cherry red to deep red flowers from the end of May until the middle of June. The (evergreen) leaves are dark green and partly glossy. It grows moderately into a compact shrub reaching the height of one meter within 10 years. It was bred by Hans Hachmann in 1978 and has received several awards. The image was captured with a fast prime 105mm macro (or micro) lens and a full-frame DSLR camera ensuring clean and large files. Shallow depth of field with focus placed over the nearest flowers (and raindrops). The background is blurred.$
