There are traditional parade on the main street Simon Bolivar at historical center of city. Folk dancers, kids and adults spray foam at each other in the streets to “play” Carnival.
Tomar, Portugal - July 12, 2015: Woman and her chaparone taking part in the tray festival (Festa dos Tabuleiros) in Tomar, Portugal. Dating back hundreds of years, the Festa dos Tabuleiros takes place every four years in Tomar in central Portugal. More than 500 maidens, accompanied by their chaperones, parade fo r5 km through the streets carrying baskets of bread decorated with flowers. The basket bears 30 loaves of bread each weighing 400 grams threaded onto 6 canes attached to a wicker basket and topped with a crown and on top is the Cross of Christ or the dove of the Holy Spirit. Hundreds of thousands of visitors are attracted to the event that runs over several days, starting with the elaborate street decoration event.

Several historic downtown streets are decorated by the residents with colorful carpets made of sawdust, coffee grounds and eggshells. The carpets are instituted by the Church to exalt love the Body of Christ.
Tomar, Portugal - 11 July 2015. Trays lined up on display on the day before the festival of trays (Festa dos Tabuleiros), which takes place every 4 years in Tomar, Portugal. These are the trays that the girls will carry upon their heads in the parade. The tabuleiro (tray headdress), which must be of the same height as the girl, bears 30 loves of bread each weighing 400 grams and threaded on 5 or 6 canes, separated by paper flowers and all mounted on a wicker basket topped with a crown with either the cross of Christ or the dove of the Holy Ghost.
