Powwows are celebrations where First Nations gather to honour and share their rich heritage and traditions with music, dance and beautifully vibrant regalia. There were vendors with handmade leather work, drums, jewelry, t-shirts 'every child matters', bannock, salmon. The general public is welcome.

Malibu, California. April 6, 2024.  Chumash Day Pow Wow and Inter-tribal Gathering. The Malibu Bluffs Park is celebrating 24 years of hosting the Annual Chumash Day Powwow.
The Indigenous Peoples Day was celebrated at Plaza Santa Fe  , New Mexico on 14 October 2024. It was a colourful and welcoming event as Native Americans from across the United States came together to honour their history and culture. Following the Grand Entry were several inter-tribal dances where all were welcome to join in and or photograph. The traditional dress, feathers, beads, jingle dresses, were stunning.
