A school of silver fish with yellow fins is swimming close to the sandy ocean floor. The clear blue water above and the sunlight filtering through create a serene underwater environment. The fish are swimming in a group, with their fins moving in unison. The sandy ocean floor is visible, with small rocks and shells scattered around. The sunlight filtering through the water creates a beautiful effect, illuminating the fish and the sandy ocean floor.

Beautiful wild fish (batfish) swimming in the blue sea
The Longfin Batfish (Platax teira), also known as the Teira Batfish or Round Faced Batfish, is a medium to large-sized silver fish with a highly compressed, disk-shaped body. Juveniles and young adults, like the one pictured, are characterized by highly elongated dorsal and anal fins, and often display vertical black stripes through the eye and behind the operculum. The snout protrudes slightly, giving the head a concave profile. This species is found in the brackish and marine waters of the Indo-Pacific coral reefs, with juveniles often seeking protection among mangrove roots, while adults move to open waters around lagoons and reefs. They are known to be highly social and inquisitive, often forming large schools.
