Castilla La Mancha, Spain. It is a tradition in several villages in Spain to go in procession from hermitages located on the outskirts of the towns to the parish church of the village, both during Holy Week and during the patronal festivals. These processions are often significant religious and cultural events, where the community gathers to perform ceremonies, prayers, and expressions of devotion.

At 0 am on Thursday of Holy Week, the streetlights of the Historic Center of the City of Goiás (or Goiás Velho) go out. At the sound of drums and the light of torches, the Fogaréu Procession begins. Tradition in the city since 1745, the ritual symbolizes the search and arrest of Christ. About 40 hooded men, the farricocos, who represent the Roman soldiers, carry the torches through the city streets, to the sound of drums that dictate the rapid steps of the procession that lasts about 1 hour.
