The Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona and Campigna National Park is a national park established in 1993, located in the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, along the border of the Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany regions, straddling the provinces of Forlì-Cesena, Arezzo and Florence.Since September 23, 1985, the Sasso Fratino Integral Nature Reserve has been awarded the Diploma of Protected Areas of the Council of Europe, while since July 7, 2017, both the reserve and the ancient beech forests within the park have been included by the UNESCO Commission in the Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians and Other Regions of Europe World Heritage Site, a serial site.
