The nyala, Tragelaphus angasii is a spiral-horned antelope native to Southern Africa. It is a species of the family Bovidae and genus Nyala, also considered to be in the genus Tragelaphus.

A female southern lesser kudu having its ear cleaned by a Red-billed Oxpecker. In addition to eating insects, the Oxpecker is gathering nesting material in the form of Kudu ear hair. The kudu seems to be happy with the arrangement.

The nyala is a spiral-horned and middle-sized antelope. It is considered the most sexually dimorphic antelope. Adult males are basically grey and the females and calves are reddish.
