Hveriralso known as Namafjall, Namaskard or Hverarond is a geothermal area located in North Iceland near Lake Myvatn under the Namafjall mountain in the Krafla volcano fissure zone.\n\nAt a depth of 1000 meters, the temperature is above 200°C, the water flowing below the surface is quickly heated and comes back to the surface transformed into steam, bubbling mud pools, hissing fumaroles, and cracked colorful grounds. Iceland is not a destination. It is an adventure. Travel to Iceland to experience the stunning Icelandic nature, the beauty of the rugged landscape and the creativity of the Icelandic people. From a geological standpoint, Iceland is a very young country, still in the midst of its own creation. Shaped by the forces of nature, the, barren landscapes demonstrate the creativity powers of the four basic elements—earth, air, fire, and water—in a dramatic way. Active volcanoes, bright green valleys, glacier-cut fjords, black sand beaches, and roaring rivers are the most distinctive features of the Icelandic landscape. And although they are very accessible, they still remain virtually untouched by human civilization. In a fast-paced world of sprawling development, Iceland's pure nature and empty expanses stand out as a luxury.\nDespite the name, “ice” only covers about 10% of the land, but still represents the largest glaciers left in Europe. It represents a source of pure water and symbolizes the purity of Icelandic products. Icelanders are proud of their close ties to nature, and dedicated to preserving this natural wealth through responsible conservation.

Churning Caldron, located in Yellowstone National Park's Mud Volcano area, is a turbulent hot spring known for its intense boiling and churning waters. The acidity and high temperatures of the water, reaching up to 170°F (77°C), create a muddy, frothy appearance. The area around Churning Caldron is rich in sulfur, giving it a distinctive rotten egg smell. This geothermal feature was significantly altered following the 1978 earthquake, which increased its activity and led to the formation of new hot springs and fumaroles in the vicinity.
