Grey Crowned Crane.The grey crowned crane (Balearica regulorum), also known as the African crowned crane, golden crested crane, golden crowned crane, East African crane, East African crowned crane, African crane, Eastern crowned crane, Kavirondo crane, South African crane, and crested crane, is a bird in the crane family, Gruidae. It is found in nearly all of Africa,[3] especially in eastern and southern Africa, and it is the national bird of Uganda.

Grey crowned crane (Balearica regulorum) in the Bwindi valley in Western Uganda. This large and colourful bird, with its peculiar crown of golden feathers, is found in savannahs and humid areas of Eastern and Southern Africa. It is the national bird of Uganda and features in its national flag. The Bwindi valley leads to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a large primeval forest and one of the most biologically diverse areas on Earth, where half the world's population of the highly endangered mountain gorillas (Gorilla beringei beringei) live. The forest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The crowned crane (Balearica pavonina), also known as the black-necked crowned crane, the peacock crane or the dark crowned crane, is a species of bird from the cranes family (Gruidae). It is closely related to the South African Crowned Crane (Balearica regulorum). There are two subspecies. Their distribution area is in sub-Saharan Africa

The Grey crowned crane is a spcies of bird in the crane family. It is the national bird of Uganda, found in eastern and southern africa. Very similar to the black crowned crane but today they are seperated with genetic evidence. Its status was changed to endangered in 2012.
