The European green lizard (Lacerta viridis) is a vibrant, sun-loving reptile native to southeastern Europe, often seen basking in warm, rocky habitats like those found in Montenegro. Males can grow up to 40 cm and are especially striking during the breeding season, with vivid green bodies and bright blue throats. An agile climber and fast runner, it feeds on insects, spiders, and occasionally fruit. Though not dangerous, it may bite if threatened. This species plays a vital role in local ecosystems by controlling insect populations and serving as prey for birds and snakes.

$Description:\nThe lizard reaches up to 15 cm (5.9 in) from the tip of the muzzle to the cloaca. The tail can be up to twice the length of the body, total length is up to 40 cm (16 in). This lizard sometimes sheds its tail (autotomy) to evade the grasp of a predator, regrowing it later.\nThe male has a larger head and a uniform green coloring punctuated with small spots that are more pronounced upon its back. The throat is bluish in the adult male and to a lesser extent in the female. The female is more slender than the male and has a more uniform coloration, often displaying between two and four light bands bordered by black spots.\nDistribution and habitat:\nThe European green lizard is native to southeastern Europe. Its range extends from southern Germany, Austria, eastern Italy, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Greece to southern Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria and western Turkey. It is known from elevations up to 2,200 above sea level and its typical habitat is dense bushy vegetation in open woodland, hedgerows, field margins, embankments and bramble thickets. In the northern part of its range it may be found on bushy heathland and in the southern part it prefers damp locations (source Wikipedia). \n\nThis Picture is made during a Vacation in Bulgaria in May 2018.$

Owia, Charlotte Parish, St Vincent, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines: Anolis trinitatis, commonly known as the Saint Vincent bush anole, Saint Vincent tree anole or Trinidad anole, is a species of lizard in the family Dactyloidae. Native to the the Caribbean, it inhabits a variety of environments, including forests, plantations, and urban areas. This anole is medium-sized, with males reaching lengths of up to 10 cm (excluding the tail), and it displays sexual dimorphism, with males being larger and more vividly colored. Typically, males have green or brown bodies with subtle markings and an orange-yellow dewlap used for territorial displays and mating. Anolis trinitatis is arboreal, diurnal, and primarily insectivorous, feeding on a diet of insects and other small invertebrates. It is an adaptable species, thriving in both natural and human-altered habitats, though it faces potential threats from habitat destruction and invasive species.
