Otherwise, donkeys were just waiting for tourists in the middle of 520 steps....\nHaving said that, there are reports of donkeys suffering from spinal injuries, saddle sores and exhaustion because they carry too heavy stuff (Including tourists) and are forced to make multiple journeys up and down 520 steps of cliffside path under sizzling sun. Tourists are recommended to think twice before they choose donkey rides for 520-step. Considering the donkey reports, it might be far better for them to carry construction materials. What option do you choose when you are in Santorini ?$
