This is a complete anvil cloud consisting of mostly ice above a thunderstorm. The rising air is expanding and spreading the cloud as it hits the bottom of the stratosphere. Shot in the evening with the sun at my back showing the deep blue color in the sky above the storm.

Numerous Cumulus, or Cumulonimbus, clouds are rising to form a deep, moody sky. These are strong rising clouds formed by rising atmospheric vapour, that are typically associated with Thunder Storms. Cumulonimbus can forecast the most violent of storms, including hail, lightning and tornados. The location is Ko Lanta, Krabi, Thailand, during Summer which is Monsoon Season.
