Hiroshima, Japan - May, 21, 2023: The Hiroshima Castle, also know as the Carp Castle, was built in the 1590s, destroyed in the atomic bombing attack in  1945, and rebuilt in 1948. It´s an original replica, and also serves as a museum telling the history of Hiroshima before the WWII.
Kumamoto Castle, built by Kato Kiyomasa, is located in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture. It sustained serious damage in the 2016 earthquake, but the castle tower has been fully restored. Other facilities within the castle are also steadily being restored.

It is one of few remaining feudal Japanese castles that retains its main keep in its original wooden form and not a modern concrete reconstruction.
