It also has thin but distinct blue circles around its eyes. Although many leave for the winter, pockets of them stick around all year.\nThe mourning dove, meanwhile, is found year-round in the desert, usually closer to the ground than the white-winged. It has dark dots along its sides.\nThis one is hanging out on a cactus, and has white-edges on its wings and blue eye rings. White-winged dove? Check.$
