Standing atop a 40-foot marble pylon is this gilded sculpture group representing the victorious Columbia Triumphant (the United States.) She is in a seashell-shaped chariot pulled by three hippocampi, mythical figures with the front half of a horse and the rear half of a fish. Columiba’s left hand holds aloft a sprig of laurel leaves, symbolizing victory. Her right hand holds a fasces, a roman symbol representing government power. A shield is strapped to her back. The height of the group is fourteen feet. \n\nAs with all the sculptural work on this monument, the artist was Attilio Piccerilli (1866-1945.) For his figure of Columbia, as well as two other figures for this monument, his model was Audrey Munson. \n\nMunson posed for more than a dozen important statues, sculptures, and friezes, most of which still stand to this day across Manhattan and Brooklyn. She is now often called “America’s First Supermodel.”

Following the attempted assassination of Emperor Franz Joseph in 1853, the Emperor's brother Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian inaugurated a campaign to create a church to thank God for saving the Emperor's life. Funds for construction were solicited from throughout the Empire. The church was dedicated in 1879 on the silver anniversary of Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Empress Elisabeth.

The Golden Horseman in Dresden, equestrian statue of the Elector of Saxony and King of Poland August the Strong. Created in 1732-34 by Ludwig Wiedemann (German artist blacksmith, 18th century) after a design by Joseph Vinache (French sculptor, 1696 - 1754).
The Statue of Saint Stephen in Budapest, erected and inaugurated in 1906 to commemorate the millennium of the founding of the Hungarian state in honor of the first king of Hungary, created in bronze and stone, pays tribute to the patron saint of the country who brought Christianity and is a symbol of Hungarian identity.
5th March 2022: Edward VII monument in the Pier Head dock in Liverpool. A life-size bronze statue on a stone plinth. Designed by  sculptor Sir William Goscombe John in 1916 and unveiled in 1921 in memory of the King. The Royal Liver Port building is in the background, once the headquarters for the Royal Liver Assurance Group when it was built in 1911.

The square lies at the outbound end of Andrássy Avenue next to City Park. It hosts the Museum of Fine Arts and the Palace of Art. The square has played an important part in contemporary Hungarian history and has been a host to many political events, such as the reburial of Imre Nagy in 1989. Most sculptures were made by sculptor György Zala from Lendava, with one made by György Vastagh.
