The Pyrenees are a mountain range that separates the Iberian Peninsula from the rest of Europe. They stretch for over 430 km between Spain and France and reach over 3,400 meters above sea level. Hiking trails crisscross the entire length of the range, and national parks offer shorter circuits. Dozens of ski resorts are located on both sides of the Pyrenees. Andorra is a tiny sovereign state in the heart of the mountains.
