Commissioned in 1997, the ship has a displacement of approximately 2,100 tons and a length of 69 meters. Unlike the landing ship of the same name (hull 402), this vessel is optimized for the transport of equipment, fuel, and dry stores between naval installations. The ship is pictured moored at the military quay within the Port of Agadir, an essential logistical base for Moroccan naval operations in the Atlantic. The vessel features a specialized heavy-lift crane on the aft deck for autonomous loading and unloading of cargo.
