Displayed at the site in Didyma, these Medusa relief come from the Temple of Apollo. The carved stone blocks depict mythological figures, reflecting the detailed craftsmanship and decorative grandeur of the ancient sanctuary.

Four-columned gateway reveals elaborate architectural composition with Corinthian columns supporting ornate entablature at Aphrodisias tetrapylon, Turkey. The reconstructed monument shows characteristic Roman honorific architecture with the carefully restored elements demonstrating the original grandeur. The monumental tetrapylon represents the ceremonial entrance to the Temple of Aphrodite precinct, where visitors passed through this impressive gateway entering the goddess's sanctuary, with the elaborate architecture honoring Aphrodite and announcing the sacred nature of the space beyond this symbolic threshold between secular and sacred zones.

The ancient city of Sardis bears traces of the Iron Age. The ancient city and its surroundings were the capital of the Lydian Kingdom, which ruled between 1200 and 546 BC. According to known history, Sardis is the place where coins were first minted. The remains of the earliest known theater in history are also present in Sardis, and efforts are underway to unearth them. The town of Sardis is home to the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven temples of Western Anatolia. Its historical library and royal thrones remain largely intact and are open to visitors.

It is located near the modern village of Geyre, about 100 km  east/inland from the coast of the Aegean Sea, and 230 km (140 mi) southeast of İzmir.It's in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list.
