Freetown, Western Area, Sierra Leone: Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) headquarters, a futuristic building in Murray Town, by the Aberdeen Creek - Military Forces HQ, Murray Town Barracks, Wilkinson Road - a Mil Mi-8 helicopter is parked in right side of the compound. The RSLAF was founded in 1961 as the Royal Sierra Leone Military Forces (RSLMF) and renamed the Republic of Sierra Leone Military Force (RSLMF) in 1971. The armed forces emerged from the Sierra Leone Battalion of the British Royal West African Frontier Force. After the end of the civil war (1991–2002), the building of a functioning army was slowly pushed ahead. It currently comprises around 13,000 soldiers.

Living climate change is a a powerful collection of stories that sheds light on the experiences of women in Coastal and Arid parts of Ghana, and their resilience in the face of climate change. The collection features the work of seven rural and urban parts of Ghana Ghana, who have participated in a unique photography and storytelling training program designed to amplify the voices of underrepresented women in National Adaptation Plan (NAP) processes. Islam is one of Benin ’s major religions, particularly prevalent in the northern regions. Approximately 30% of the population adheres to Islam, with the majority being Sunni Muslims, influenced by the Maliki school of thought. Islam was introduced to Benin through trans-Saharan trade routes and further spread by the migration of Hausa, Fulani, and Songhai ethnic groups. Today, the religion is deeply integrated into the cultural and social fabric of northern Benin, where mosques and Islamic educational institutions play an important role in community life.
