The photo was taken in Yugang Grottoes, Shanxi Province in August this year. Yungang Grottos is one of the three major grotto sites in China. Representing the highest level of world carved art in the fifth century, and considered to be exemplary Chinese Buddhist art work at its finest.  Comprising 252 caves and niches and 51000 statues with a carved area of 18000 square meters. A historical milestone fused by Chinese and Western culture in the fifth century A.D. The Buddha status here are well-preserved and uniquely shaped, making it an immersive journey.

Pingyao, Shanxi, China- May 2, 2023: Located very close to Pingyao Ancient City, Shuanglin Temple is hailed as “the Oriental Treasure House of Painted Sculptures” and “A Museum of Ancient Statues” where keeps over 2,000 exquisite ancient painted sculptures and lots of beautifully preserved frescoes from Yuan to Ming Dynasty (13th -17th century). It is also named as World Culture Heritage by UNESCO. These masterpieces of art and the entire architecture complex are ancient cultural splendors, infrequent folk art estates and great window to learn Buddhist culture in China. Hall of Bodhisattva has two of the best sculptures of Shuanglin Temple - a sitting Avalokitesvara with right foot up and a Wei Tuo (Skanda, a protector of the Buddhas) by her side. Datong, Shanxi, China- March 2, 2013:  the Hanging Temple Mt. Heng, located 60 kilometers southeast of Datong, China, in the Shanxi province, is one of the world’s forgotten wonders. Clinging to a crag of Hengshan mountain, in apparent defiance of gravity, it consists of 40 rooms linked by a dizzying maze of passageways. The temple is said to have been built during 386-534. It was constructed by drilling holes into the cliffside into which the poles that hold up the temples are set. Here are the painted sculptures in the temple.
