Krafla  is a volcanic caldera of about 10 km in diameter with a 90 km long fissure zone.
Víti is a volcanic lake on the Icelandic central volcano Krafla. It was created in 1724 during a steam explosion at the beginning of an approximately five-year eruption series called Mývatnfeuer, which lasted until 1729. The lake measures 320 m in diameter and is about 33 m deep.
