Like A. plantago aquatica, but leaves lanceolate to elliptical with a narrowed base.\nFlowers pink, small, 6-10mm, often slightly larger. Styles shorter and arising near the top of the achenes.\nHabitat: In England and Wales it is occasionally locally found, in Ireland it is rare, and Scotland it is very rare. \nIt is found in mud and in fresh waters. It is less common than A. plantago aquatica.\nFlowering Season: June-August.\nDistribution: Throughout Europe, except the far North.\n\nThe Species is quite rare in the Netherlands.
