Lisbon, Portugal: Turbofan engine on an Airbus A330-200, a GE CF6-80E1A4 - The General Electric CF6, US military designations F103 and F138, is a family of high-bypass turbofan engines produced by GE Aviation. Based on the TF39, the first high-power high-bypass jet engine, the CF6 powers a wide variety of civilian airliners.

Engine Aircraft
Lisbon, Portugal: boxed aircraft auxiliary power unit (APU) - the APU is a small turbine engine that provides air and electricity, no hydraulics, but electricity and air can run hydraulic pumps. APUs are typically located in the tail cone of the aircraft, but they can also be located in the engine nacelles or in the wheel wells. APUs can be started using either the aircraft's batteries or a ground power unit (GPU). Once the APU is running, it generates electrical power through a generator. APUs are also used by some airlines to reduce fuel consumption. For example, some airlines use the APU to power the aircraft's air conditioning system on the ground, instead of using the main engines. This can save fuel, as the main engines are more fuel-efficient when they are running at higher speeds - Lisbon Airport, aka Humberto Delgado airport.
