Hydrastis canadensis (Goldenseal) Native North American Woodland Wildflower

A number of stems of Garlic mustard growing under a hedge. The natural background is mainly made up of nettles, cleavers and some cow parsley leaves. The leaves and flowers are quite close-up and very well focussed. Other local names are Garlic root, Jack-in-the-bush and Penny hedge.
