Chirk Aqueduct is part of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and the Llangollen Canal World Heritage site, which stretches from Chirk to the Horseshoe Falls in Llangollen itself.  Completed in 1801 by William Jessop and Thomas Telford, the aqueduct is 710 foot (220 m) long and carries the canal 70 feet above the beautiful River Ceiriog across 10 circular masonry arches.  The slightly later Chirk Railway Viaduct runs parallel.

Aerial drone view of the sun setting over The Drygrange, more commonly known as the Leaderfoot viaduct, is a disused railway viaduct, built over the River Tweed, in the Scottish Borders, close to the town of Melrose. Built in the 1860's with sandstone and brick, the bridge is over 900 foot long and is 126 foot high at its highest point. Located in rural grazing meadows the viaduct is now a protected as a Class A historic landmark, standing majestically in the rural landscape.
The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is a navigable aqueduct that carries the Llangollen Canal across the River Dee in the Vale of Llangollen in north east Wales. The 18-arched stone and cast iron structure designed by Thomas Telford is for use by narrowboats and was completed in 1805 having taken ten years to design and build. It is the longest aqueduct in Great Britain and the highest canal aqueduct in the world.
