Monument to the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment.  The 54th Regiment was one of the first official black units in the United States during the Civil War.  The monument, constructed 1884–1898 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens on the Boston Common, is part of the Boston Black Heritage Trail.

Marienhafe, Germany - October 13, 2022: Bronze statue of Klaus Stoertebeker by the sculptor Karl-Ludwig Boeke from Leer. Taken on a rainy day with overcast sky in autumn. According to legend, Stoertebeker  was a pirate and one of the leaders of the Vitalienbrueder, also known as the Likedeeler. Klaus Stoertebeker was beheaded in Hamburg on October 21, 1401 with 72 companions. The memorial was unvailed on June 27, 1992 on the market square in Marienhafe.
