Chiang Mai, Thailand - 2022/10/03: Storefront owners amidst flood water as the Ping River bursts its banks in Muang district Chiang Mai. The Ping River overflows into Muang district of Chiang Mai with the level approaching what was recorded during the severe flooding of 2011. Residents in Chiang Mai province, especially those living close to the Ping River, have been advised to monitor the water situation closely, as the water level in the river has risen above the critical level.
The storm is Asia's most powerful this year and has wreaked havoc in other countries including Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and Laos etc.

Bui Xa Village (Xuan Mai Town, Chuong My District, Hanoi).\n\nThis is the first time since 2018 that areas of villages such as Bui Xa, Tan Tien, Nam Phuong Tien in Chuong My District have been seriously flooded. In 2018, Bui 1 and Bui 2 dikes were still not as high as they are now, so water overflowed the dike surface, causing serious flooding for a long time.\n\nMr. Phung Xuan Hai, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Mai Town, said that in the past 2 days, the Bui Xa village area has suffered very heavy rain, and in recent years it has always suffered from flooding.
