Several flower spikes of the giant, ground-dwelling Blue Puya Bromeliad (Puya berteroniana), called the Chagual in Chile. A close relative of the pineapple this Bromeliad is unusual in growing rooted in earth rather than being an epiphyte on the branches of a tree.
