Kazimierz (Polish pronunciation: [kaˈʑimʲɛʂ]; Latin: Casimiria; Yiddish: קוזמיר‎ Kuzimyr) is a historical district of Kraków and Kraków Old Town, Poland. Since its inception in the fourteenth century to the early nineteenth century, Kazimierz has been an independent city, a royal city of the Crown of the Polish Kingdom, a location south of the Old Town of Kraków Old Town, separated from it by a branch of the Vistula river.
Old bazaar that called Hacı Bayram Veli. Hacı Bayram Mosque and bazaar was built by Architect Mehmet Bey in Ankara, Turkey in 1427. Today people visit the building for shopping and praying.
Cloth Hall – a building with shopping stalls in the very center of the Main Market Square in Krakow. The first wooden stalls were built in the second half of the 13th century on the initiative of Bolesław the Chaste. In the mid-14th century, a brick, Gothic building, over a hundred meters long, was built in their place, but it was destroyed after a fire in 1555. The current Renaissance Cloth Hall was built in 1556–1559 according to the designs of Santi Gucci and Jan Maria Padovano. In the years 1875–1879, the building was rebuilt according to the design of Tomasz Pryliński. Currently, the Cloth Hall houses the Gallery of 19th-century Polish Art.
