Cliff dwelling Sinagua Indian ruin used during the 12th to 13th centuries along steep ledges high above  canyon floor.  The Sinagua were pueblo style desert dwellers where typically the only greenery was the evergreen juniper and pinion pine.  This image shows both structure and cave as well as desert pine.
