The Pajama (Pyjama) cardinalfish, Sphaeramia nematoptera, is a species of fish belonging to the Apogonidae family. Distributed throughout much of the West Pacific, from Java to Fiji, and from the Ryukyu Islands south to the Great Barrier Reef. In Pajama cardinalfish, males incubate the eggs in their mouth until they hatch.
These fish inhabit the waters of North America. Elongated body and long, dotted with rare and very sharp teeth mouth. Longnose Gar is found in freshwater and reaches a large size (2.5 - 3 meters) and weight over 100 kg.
