A UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh in the Chhatarpur district of India near the small town of Khajuraho, the temples are famous for their architectural symbolism and erotic sculptures. The Hindu and Jain temples were built between AD 900 and 1130. At one time, there were about 85 temples, only about 20 temples remain today.  The Vishwanath Temple is famous for beautifully carved sculptures. It contains a 6-foot high Nandi bull placed on top of a platform.
