It is located in the heart of the old town - on Adenauerplatz directly in front of the town hall. The fountain was designed and built by the sculptor couple Barbara and Gernot Rumpf. The former Fraumünster monastery was a Benedictine monastery with the rank of a princely abbey, founded in 853 by King Louis the German.
