Venice, Veneto, Italy: Santa Maria del Rosario (Saint Mary of the Rosary), commonly known as 'I Gesuati', is an 18th-century Dominican church in the Sestiere of Dorsoduro, on the Giudecca canal. Built for the Dominicans on a property acquired after the extinction of Jesuates order (no connection with the Jesuits). It was completed in 1755 to a design by Giorgio Massari.

Venice, Veneto, Italy - June 2, 2014: The architectural complex of Santa Maria della Carita, dating back to the early decades of the twelfth century, in 1807 became state property by edict of Napoleon and was designated as the seat of the Academy of Fine Arts with adjoining galleries. Since 1820 acts as an entrance to the Accademia Gallery, the most important collection of Venetian art which preserves countless masterpieces from bequests from private individuals or from suppressed churches and monasteries, especially paintings of the period from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century.

Venice (Italian: Venezia) is a city in northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region. It is built on a group of 118 small islands that are separated by expanses of open water and by canals; portions of the city are linked by over 400 bridges. The islands are in the shallow Venetian Lagoon, an enclosed bay lying between the mouths of the Po and the Piave rivers (more exactly between the Brenta and the Sile).
