Malawi, the landlocked country in southeastern Africa, is a country of highlands split by the Great Rift Valley and the huge Lake Malawi, whose southern end is within Lake Malawi National Park and several other parks are now habitat for diverse wildlife from colorful fish to the Big Five. Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo - March 07, 2020:\nNewly built homes in the lava flow of Nyiragongo volcano,  in the background Nyiragongo volcano is visible. \n\nGoma is the capital of the province of North Kivu in DR Congo, the town lies between the Nyiragongo volcano and Lake Kivu. Large areas of Goma has been destroyed from the Lava Flow after the deadly eruption of Nyiragongo Volcano on January 17th, 2002. Along the way from the crater to the shores of Lake Kivu the lava flow destroyed 45 villages and about 16,000 homes, leaving about 350,000 people homeless. It is estimated that about 14o people died. In the background a new house which was built after the devastation. Mount Nyiragongo is an active Stratovolcano with an elevation of 3470 m (11382 ft) and is located about 20 km north of the town of Goma, close to the border to Rwanda
