Temple of Athena, c. 500 BC\nPaestum was a major ancient Greek city on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea, in Magna Graecia. The ruins of Paestum are famous for their three ancient Greek temples in the Doric order dating from about 550 to 450 BC that are in an excellent state of preservation. The city walls and amphitheatre are largely intact, and the bottom of the walls of many other structures remain, as well as paved roads.

Laodicea in Lycus was a wealthy ancient city on the river in Asia Minor, now in Turkey. Lycus (Rotwater). It was located in the Hellenistic regions of Caria and Lydia, which later became the Roman province of Phrygia Pacatiana. It is now located near the modern city of Denizli.\nArchaeological excavations and subsequent intensive restoration works have been continuing at Pamukkale University since 2002.\nThe archaeological site was included in the Tentative List of World Heritage Sites in Turkey in 2013.\nIt contained one of the Seven churches in Asia mentioned in the Book of Revelation.

The Basilica of St. John was a basilica in Ephesus. It was constructed by Justinian I in the 6th century. It stands over the believed burial site of John the Apostle. It was modeled after the now lost Church of the Holy Apostles in Constantinople.\nThe basilica is on the slopes of Ayasuluk Hill, right next to the İsa Bey Mosque, just below the fortress near the center of Selçuk, İzmir Province, Turkey and about 3.5 km (2.2 mi) from Ephesus.
