road through Picos d'Europa. The Picos de Europa National Park (Spanish: Parque Nacional de Picos de Europa) is a National Park in the Picos de Europa mountain range, in northern Spain. It is shared by the autonomous communities of Asturias, Cantabria and Castile and León. The highest peaks of Picos de Europa reach 2570 meters (almost 8500 feet), which might not sound like a really big deal, but consider that they are only 20 km from the sea. They are rugged, glacially carved, and very steep.
