Murren is a traditional mountain village in Bernese Oberland (Switzerland). It lies on 1,650 m and is unreachable by public road. Tourism is popular. It has a population of 450 but 2,000 hotel beds. Murren has its own school and two churches, one Reformed and one Roman Catholic. Murren is the end of the Bergbahn Lauterbunnen-Murren, which consists of a cable car and railway. Murren is also a stop of the Luftseilbahn Stechelberg-Murren-Schilthorn. It provides transportation from Stechelberg down in the valley, all the way up to the summit of the Schilthorn and the famous rotating restaurant Piz Gloria, well-known for its inclusion in the James Bond movie 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'.
