Hanging inside a window in All Saints Church, Burnham Thorpe, in Norfolk, Eastern England, is an old (and now very sheer) British Union Jack flag. The church was originally built in the 13th century but was renovated in the 1840s and further restored in 1905 in commemoration of the centenary of Lord Nelson’s victory at the Battle of Trafalgar. The Admiralty presented timbers from Nelson’s ship, HMS Victory, to build the altar, lectern and rood screen.
